Mental Wellness with Exomind
Stumbling Upon rTMS
EXOMIND at TMB Cosmetic Surgery
That’s when I discovered EXOMIND at TMB Cosmetic Surgery in Yorkville. The difference? Just six treatments spread over a few weeks. It already fit so much better into my packed schedule. After speaking with Karen from their team (an absolute ray of sunshine who had already tried EXOMIND and told me all about her experience), everything clicked. I could pop up Bay Street for a quick session at lunch, then be back at my desk before the next meeting. It felt aligned. I could do this.
@tmbcosmeticsurgery This is an opportunity to give your brain what it actually needs to function well, less noise, more clarity, and consistent support. That’s where Exomind comes in. It’s not about forcing focus, it can replenishing the systems that make clarity possible. Formulated to support memory, attention span, and mental stamina, Exomind helps ease the burden modern habits place on the brain. Use the link in bio for more information!
What is EXOMIND?
EXOMIND is a non-invasive brain treatment that uses a technology called Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS). Basically, it delivers gentle magnetic pulses through the scalp to “wake up” parts of the brain that might not be firing properly. Think of it as though your brain is a city. Sometimes the roads (neural pathways) get worn down or blocked. EXOMIND helps rewire and strengthen those connections, making it easier for signals to travel. The result? More stability in mood, better focus, and deeper rest.
TMB is one of the only clinics in Canada offering EXOMIND, and while research is still evolving, studies show it can help with things like treatment-resistant depression, ADHD, and even support people living with MS (though there have been no clinical studies for MS). For me, it was about finding a way to get my energy back, sleep better, and feel excited about life again.

Who Benefits from EXOMIND?
EXOMIND is designed for people with depression, ADHD, or other conditions where the brain’s wiring could use a boost. I genuinely believe it can benefit just about anyone. For high-performing, stressed-out professionals like me, it’s a game-changer. You can fit it into a busy schedule, zone out for 25 minutes, and come back with results that build over time. It’s subtle; not a “flip-the-switch” transformation, but it feels like coming back to yourself after a long period of being stuck.

My Treatment Journey at TMB
I completed my 6 sessions over a period of 8 weeks. Each session lasted about 25 minutes. A nurse (Mariana, who I saw each week) walked me through the process, fitted a headband device, and explained what I should feel. The sensation was like fingers lightly drumming across the top of my head. It was not painful at all, though just a bit unusual at first. She stayed with me for the first few minutes, then I was left to relax in a darkened room.
Week after week, Mariana would bring me to the room where I was having the appointment. We would chat about the little changes and improvements I was noticing. After my very first session, I didn’t notice a huge difference, though the sun seemed a little warmer and the colours outside a little brighter. Maybe a placebo effect, but it gave me hope. By the third session, the changes were measurable. My Fitbit showed significant improvements in REM sleep, which meant I was actually resting at night instead of tossing and turning. My mood lifted and I felt less anxious handling stressful situations. Creativity started creeping back, too. I began making TikToks and Reels more regularly without obsessing over perfection.
By the final session, the biggest shifts were clear:
- Sleep: consistent, deeper, more restorative.
- Resilience: handling setbacks with less emotional reactivity. (When Air Canada cancelled my flight home from Italy during a strike, I dealt with it strategically instead of spiraling.)
- Curiosity & Energy: I started saying “yes” to more experiences and new hobbies instead of retreating into bed when life felt overwhelming.

What I Wish I’d Known Before Starting
- The results are subtle, but real. Don’t expect fireworks. Hope and work towards feeling like you again.
- More before-and-after accounts would have helped me visualize the journey, but everyone’s experience is unique.
- The treatment is intended to be six sessions for life. You can always return for boosters if you like.
- I already had a feeling improved sleep would help, but the changes have been very noticeable for me over the course of 6 months. I didn’t realize how miserable I was until I had a few months having been better rested. This could be the treatment and it could just be that I’ve accumulated more banked sleep, but I’m a way more positive person than I was this time last year. 2025 was tough, but I feel like I had the tools I needed to overcome obstacles.

One Month Later: Do the Results Last?
My last EXOMIND treatment was in July. It’s now August. So far, the benefits are holding. Even on my whirlwind Italy trip (running on 5–6 hours of sleep a night) my REM stayed strong. That never would have happened before EXOMIND.
The most noticeable difference now is that I feel more present and capable in daily life. Less time “bed rotting,” more time enjoying new activities and those I once adored. My energy isn’t boundless, but I wake up looking forward to taking on my day.

Final Thoughts
I went into this skeptical but hopeful. Today, I’m genuinely grateful. EXOMIND helped me sleep better, feel more resilient, and get excited about life again. It hasn’t made me unrealistically euphoric, but it has given me back balance and clarity. That’s priceless.
If you’ve been curious about repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation, or if traditional therapy hasn’t been enough for you, I’d encourage you to book a consultation at TMB Cosmetic Surgery. You deserve to feel like yourself again.
