Unlimited Wine: New Zealand Wine Festival Korea (Seoul & Busan)

New Zealand Wine Festival Korea

Join The Kiwi Chamber (NZ Chamber of Commerce in Korea), Anuj Madan (Photographer), and The Toronto Seoulcialite May 20th, 2017 at the Grand Hyatt Seoul.  At the New Zealand Wine Festival we’ll sample reds and whites from over 20 different vineyards.  Registrations are now open so head over to www.kiwichamber.com and follow the links!

We all know how much I love wine!  We’re only through 4 months of 2017 and I’ve already visited a couple of vineyards (where I’ve soaked my feet in wine twice) and have had the pleasure of dining and imbibing with other Korea Bloggers at Vineworks Korea.  I’ve been invited to the New Zealand Wine Festival and could not be more excited!

The event promises to be a first-class New Zealand-themed culinary experience coupled with the finest service.  A superb outdoor BBQ-style buffet (hells yes!) will be served in Seoul and an exquisite tapas buffet in Busan (June 3rd, 2017 at the Park Hyatt Busan).  Now, to practice looking dainty while balancing a glass o’ vino in a tea-length skirt while eating lamb shank…

We’ll be able to sample a plethora of wine from “the other side of the world where the air is clean, the water is pure and the wine is exceptional.  New Zealand has a unique geography and perfect climate which make its wines truly special,” explained Dr. Garrett. “With well over 700 vineyards spread across the country, consumers have a wide variety of vintages from Hawke’s Bay in the North Island to Central Otago in the South to choose from.”

Both events will feature lucky draws with unreal prizes.  People who have attended lucky draws with me in the past know to stand near me when they’re calling out numbers.  I’m a bit of a ‘good luck Chuck’ when it comes to raffles – my friends always win!  Since Singapore Airlines is a major sponsor of both events, they’ve upped the ante and are offering an amazing lucky draw prize of an economy return ticket to New Zealand!

This sounds like my kind of festival! I actually haven’t tried any NZ wines that I’m aware of! I would love to check this out, if only we were going to be in Korea during these dates!

You had me at wine. This sounds like it will be a wonderful event. Like Megan said above I haven’t really experienced many new zealand wines so I’m optimistic its going to be an eye opening event. cheers!

I’ve heard only great things about this event from friends who attended past events. I’ll certainly try to get to it this year.

What a lovely affair at a lovely place with well dressed people, drinking all you can drink wine. Hope it doesn’t get too rowdy and someone decides to create their own wine bath soaking experience. BTW what exactly does wine do to one’s feet when you soak them?

  5. Shelley says:

Every time I read about one of these events, I really, really wish I was a wine drinker. They always seem to have amazing prizes and good food. Singapore Air?!! Best airline ever…even their economy feels like business. 🙂

What fun! Whyyyy do I already have events both of those days?!?! So bummed. I want to hear more about their events though. You know I love a good glass of wine. ^^

I had no idea there was a separate New Zealand Wine Festival in Korea, I thought it was just the big wine festival that happens in Daejeon each year! That’s amazing you got invited! Looks super swanky, can’t wait to see your detailed post about how the event goes!

  8. This seems like a spectacular festival, Kate! I am adding it to my bucket list!
